Understand what DroboAI does and the order to set things up safely.
What is DroboAI?
DroboAI helps you run an eBay dropshipping business with Amazon as the supplier:
Session
Launch the managed browser, sign in to eBay, and keep your seller session connected.
Discover & Post
Search Amazon, calculate pricing, and publish listings to eBay from the desktop app.
Listings sync
Refresh Amazon prices and stock, revise eBay listings, or end out-of-stock items.
Orders
Review awaiting shipments, open matched Amazon products, estimate profit, and mark orders shipped.
Listing, pricing, and order workflows run in DroboAI Desktop (Windows). This website is for your account, billing, country/marketplace, plans, and documentation.
Web vs desktop
- Website — sign in, Settings, Upgrade Plan, download the desktop app, Help
- DroboAI Desktop — Session, Upload / Discover & Post, Orders, Listings, Settings (requires Auto-Pilot or Enterprise)
Before you begin
- eBay seller account (business recommended)
- Payment and payout methods on eBay
- Understand the model: DroboAI posts listings; when something sells, you buy from the supplier and ship to the buyer
- Disable sleep mode on your PC while DroboAI runs — if the computer sleeps, Discover & Post, Listings sync, and Orders stop
Recommended order
- Get started — eBay policies, web settings, install desktop, link session
- Desktop app — what each screen does
- First 7 days — warm-up listing plan (do not skip)
- Then scaling, daily routine, and fulfillment sections
Follow each step in order — do not skip the warm-up.
Get started
eBay account setup, DroboAI account, and linking the desktop app.
Step 1 — Create your eBay account
Go to ebay.com → Register → choose Business Account.
Step 2 — Opt into Seller Hub
While signed in to eBay, open Seller Hub.
- Complete any Get started or Opt in prompts eBay shows for new sellers (seller details, payout method, etc.).
- Confirm you land on the Seller Hub dashboard — not a “join Seller Hub” landing page.
- DroboAI opens Seller Hub when you click Login with Browser in the desktop app, so this must be active first.
Step 3 — Set required policies
Go to Account settings → Business policies and create:
- Payment → Immediate payment
- Returns → 30 days
- Shipping → 3-day handling
Step 4 — Turn on key settings
Go to Seller Hub / Selling preferences and enable:
- Auto feedback
- RMA returns
- Keep listings active
Step 5 — Verify your eBay seller identity
New sellers usually must complete identity / tax verification on eBay before listings stay Active. Until that is done, Discover & Post may fail or listings may sit in Seller Hub → Drafts.
- In DroboAI Desktop, run Discover & Post once (target 1 is fine). If eBay blocks new accounts, the listing may land in Drafts or the run may fail.
- Open Seller Hub → Drafts on ebay.com.
- Manually publish one draft. eBay should show that you need to verify your account (identity / SSN or Tax ID, depending on your country).
- Complete the verification prompts eBay shows (often under Account settings / Seller Hub notices).
- After eBay confirms verification, retry Discover & Post in DroboAI — listings should go Active.
Details and fixes if drafts stuck: Troubleshooting · full walkthrough below: Verify eBay account.
Step 6 — DroboAI account & desktop
Do this after eBay policies are set up (verification can finish before or right after your first desktop test).
- Sign in on this site and confirm your plan includes desktop access (Upgrade Plan if needed).
- Download DroboAI Desktop, install, and sign in with the same account.
- In the desktop app, open Session and click Login with Browser. Sign in to eBay — the app saves your session. Do not use Google, Facebook, or other third-party sign-in. Type your email on eBay, then sign in with a password or SMS text code (two login options — SMS is not 2FA). Add a password in eBay account settings first if you need one.
- In desktop Settings, set Country/Region to match your eBay marketplace (e.g.
ebay.com) and add your item location postal codes.
Quick help: eBay linking — desktop setup guide
Checkpoint
- eBay account verified (identity / tax) — see Verify eBay account; Seller Hub active; policies and payout set up
- Country/Region in desktop Settings matches your eBay marketplace
- Desktop installed, signed in, and Session shows connected
Verify your eBay account
eBay — not DroboAI — requires identity verification for many new sellers before listings go live.
DroboAI publishes with your linked Session. If eBay has not verified you yet, items often stay in Drafts or uploads fail. Completing verification on ebay.com fixes that.
When you need this
- You are a new seller or recently created the eBay account
- Discover & Post fails or nothing appears Active on eBay
- Listings show only under Seller Hub → Drafts
- eBay shows a notice about verifying identity, SSN, Tax ID, or seller information
How to verify
- Trigger the prompt (recommended). In DroboAI → Upload / Discover & Post, set Target to 1 and Start. If eBay blocks unverified sellers, the item may land in Drafts.
- Open Drafts on ebay.com. Go to Seller Hub → Listings → Drafts (while signed into the same eBay account as Session).
- Publish one draft manually. Click through listing / publish. eBay should ask you to verify your seller identity.
- Complete verification. Follow eBay’s screens (identity details, SSN or Tax ID where required for your country, and any confirmation emails). Finish every step until Seller Hub no longer shows a verification block.
- Retry in DroboAI. Confirm Session is still connected, then run Discover & Post again. New listings should go Active instead of Drafts.
- There is no “select drafts and Post” button inside DroboAI — drafts live on ebay.com.
- Verify with the same eBay account you linked under Session, and keep Country/Region in desktop Settings matched.
- Also finish payout / business policies (steps above) — verification alone is not enough if shipping/returns policies are missing.
- If you are stuck after verifying, see Troubleshooting or the community forum.
Desktop app
Everything below is in the Windows desktop app after you install and sign in.
Session
Connects DroboAI to your eBay seller account. Use Login with Browser when you first set up or if the session expires. The app runs a managed Chrome profile and saves the eBay nonsession cookie so Upload, Orders, and Listings can work.
DroboAI runs on your computer. If Windows or macOS goes to sleep (or you close a laptop lid with sleep enabled), listing, sync, and order workflows stop. Set Sleep to Never while the app is running (the screen can turn off — the PC itself must stay awake). Leave DroboAI Desktop and the managed Chrome window open or minimized, not fully quit.
- Windows: Settings → System → Power & battery (or Power & sleep) → When plugged in, put my device to sleep → Never
- macOS: System Settings → Battery / Energy → enable Prevent automatic sleeping when the display is off (on power adapter), or set computer sleep to Never
Third-party sign-in (Google, Facebook, Apple, etc.) is not supported in the managed browser. Enter your email on the eBay login page, then sign in with either a password or an SMS text code. Those are the two login options — SMS is not 2FA. Add a password under eBay account settings if you don’t have one yet.
Upload — Discover & Post
Main listing workflow. The app searches Amazon, scrapes product data, prices with your rules, can polish listing copy with AI, and posts listings to eBay until you click Stop or reach your target count.
- Target — how many successful listings to post in this run (use your warm-up daily cap)
- Speed — how many products/listings run in parallel; keep it low during setup
- Min / Max price — optional filters before posting
- Profit % and Promo % — markup and promoted listing rate
- QTY — stock quantity on each new listing (warm-up: use 1)
- Repeat — optional daily/weekly schedule after a target is reached
During warm-up, stay within the day’s listing count from the First 7 days plan.
Listings
Manage live eBay inventory from the local config.json catalog. Use Refresh checked to re-scrape Amazon, compare Amazon price vs your target eBay price, revise listings, or end out-of-stock items when enabled.
- Override — apply toolbar Profit %, Promo %, or Ad % to selected rows
- Auto-end OOS — end the eBay listing after Amazon stays unavailable through retries
- AI title + description — rewrite title/description during refresh when enabled
Orders
Pulls Awaiting shipment and Shipped / other eBay orders. Shows the 90-day estimated profit, matches orders to Amazon URLs saved in config.json, and gives shortcuts to copy buyer details or open the source product.
Settings (desktop)
- Item location (postal code) for new listings
- eBay Domain / marketplace, browser profiles, and session info
- Listings sync defaults: min profit %, Amazon retries, promoted listings, and Auto-end OOS
- Listing filters and HTML description template
- Shortcuts to Help, billing, affiliate, and account on the website
Enable AI title + description on the Listings screen when you want GPT to polish copy during refresh — not in Settings.
