If you mean selling an item on eBay and then buying it from Amazon for direct delivery to your buyer, eBay’s stated policy does not allow that fulfillment model. Start with that distinction before comparing software or pricing rules.
What the policy distinguishes
eBay permits dropshipping through a wholesale supplier. Its policy prohibits post-sale purchasing from another retailer or marketplace for direct shipment to the customer.
Read the current eBay dropshipping policy in full. These categories describe the supply arrangement, not the name of the tool used to create the listing.
Check the relationship behind the product
Questions to ask before you create a listing:
- Who is the supplier, and what arrangement do you have with them?
- Can they supply the exact product and quantity represented in the listing?
- What stock and delivery information can you rely on?
- Who handles returns, and how will a buyer receive help?
- What records document your purchases and fulfillment?
Keep the answers with your sourcing records. A marketplace listing, a low price or a local warehouse label does not by itself establish the terms of a wholesale relationship.
What automation changes
Software can help organize source links, calculate prices and reduce repeated work. It cannot turn one supply relationship into another or remove the seller’s responsibility for what the buyer receives.
A successful upload is a technical result: the listing was created. It is not a separate approval of your sourcing model. Similarly, a browser session remaining signed in says nothing about whether an individual listing is accurate.
Separate evidence from seller anecdotes
A screenshot of sales can show activity on an account. It does not show every cost, establish the fulfillment agreement or predict what will happen on another account.
Be careful with claims that a specific number of daily listings, a home connection or an account-age milestone guarantees protection. Those claims require evidence; popularity alone does not supply it.
For any example you study, separate reported revenue from profit and ask what time period and costs are included. Our community seller story is presented as one person’s historical experience, not a promise of results.
Make the decision before scaling
Review the applicable marketplace rules, document your supplier arrangement and make sure your listing matches the product and delivery terms you can provide. Resolve open questions before copying the workflow across a catalog.
Once the supply model is established, test one item’s economics using the price and profit calculator. Then check the software workflow against the actual task you need to run.

Questions sellers ask
Does using a listing tool change eBay’s sourcing policy?
No. A tool changes how a listing is created or maintained; it does not change the supplier relationship or applicable marketplace rules.
Does a local warehouse prove that a supplier is wholesale?
No. Location describes where stock may ship from. You still need to understand and document the supplier relationship.
Do successful seller examples prove the model is allowed?
No. Sales activity does not establish policy compliance or predict another account’s outcome.
