A supplier price is only the beginning. Before listing a product on eBay, you need to know exactly what you are selling, how it will reach the buyer, and what is left after costs. Work through one item before applying the same process to a whole catalog.

Understand the sourcing model

The phrase “Amazon to eBay dropshipping” usually describes listing a product on eBay and ordering it from Amazon after a sale. The price difference looks appealing; it does not establish whether the fulfillment arrangement fits eBay’s rules.

Retailer-to-buyer fulfillment is prohibited by eBay’s dropshipping policy. Review the sourcing policy guide before choosing suppliers. Software cannot change the rules that apply to your business.

For a permitted supplier arrangement, keep a record of the supplier, exact product, purchase terms, available stock and delivery service. A product URL alone is not a complete sourcing record.

Check the exact product

Compare the item you can actually supply with the listing you intend to publish. A similar-looking product is not enough.

  • Identity: brand, model and product identifier, where available.
  • Variant: size, color, material and pack count.
  • Condition: new, used or refurbished, with accurate photos.
  • Contents: accessories, batteries and parts included in the box.
  • Fulfillment: stock location, dispatch time and delivery cost.

A two-pack at $18 is not an $18 source for a single item at the same unit cost. Likewise, a low price that requires a minimum order may disappear when you check out with one unit.

Price one sale all the way through

Write down your purchase cost, shipping, purchase tax, packaging and selling fees. Add advertising only when it applies, and leave room for the occasional return or replacement.

This example assumes a 13.6% fee plus $0.40, with no buyer sales tax or advertising. Use your own category’s fees in the eBay price calculator. Then test a higher source cost and a buyer discount. If either removes the profit, the price needs more room.

Build a small, repeatable listing workflow

  1. Confirm supply. Record the exact item and the terms under which it can be fulfilled.
  2. Set pricing rules. Distinguish a markup, a profit target and a fixed selling price. Test both edges of each price band.
  3. Write a clear listing. Use factual titles, complete item specifics and photos you can use.
  4. Check the published result. Make sure price, quantity and delivery details match your inputs.

Start with a batch you can inspect and support. There is no universal account “warm-up” schedule that guarantees sales or prevents restrictions. Your actual selling limits and ability to fulfill orders should determine the pace.

Make maintenance part of the job

New listings are only one part of a store. Check price and stock changes, orders awaiting dispatch, tracking exceptions and buyer messages. Resolve exceptions before expanding the catalog.

For each listing, retain the source link and the time of its last successful check. A task marked “finished” should tell you what changed and which items failed. A price refresh that silently skipped a source is not proof that its old price is still valid.

Keep order handling and selling limits in the same routine. Judge progress by completed, profitable orders rather than the number of uploads.

Questions sellers ask

Is Amazon to eBay dropshipping allowed?

eBay’s policy prohibits listing an item and then purchasing it from another retailer or marketplace for direct shipment to the buyer. Read the linked policy guide before choosing a sourcing model.

How much working capital do I need?

Estimate the orders you must fund before payouts arrive, then add room for refunds and delays. Five orders at an $18 cost require $90 before any money returns; that is an illustration, not a recommended starting budget.

Where can I check current DroboAI plans?

The pricing page lists Software and Cloud options, current introductory terms and renewal prices. Check it rather than relying on prices in older articles.
